The Chapel at Ronchamp by Le Corbusier

The chapel at Ronchamp, France by Le Corbusier
All of Corbusier's other buildings are rigorously Modernist. Ronchamp is a free, organic structure, and, in my opinion, his best work. The roof is supported by apparently massive walls, some three metres thick, pierced by small rectangular windows. (To see the effect from inside refer to the other photograph in the gallery titled 'The Chapel at Ronchamp by Le Corbusier').
